Frequently Asked Questions:
What are your fees?
Individual therapy (50 min): $180
Relationship therapy (75 min): $225
Do you accept insurance?
I do not take insurance directly (here’s why). I’d be happy to provide a monthly receipt if you’d like to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.
This tool will give you an estimate of your insurance reimbursement. Apps like Reimbursify radically simplify the process of submitting claims and getting paid.
Do you offer online and/or in-person sessions?
Most of my clients enjoy the convenience of meeting with me through teletherapy (confidential online sessions). I have limited in-person spots on Thursdays. My office is located at: 2831 Telegraph Ave. Oakland, CA 94609.
What are the first steps to get started?
The first step is to schedule a free, 15 minute consultation call to talk about what brings you to therapy, answer any questions, and see if it feels like a good fit. If a first session is set up, we’ll do a conversational intake together (getting to know your history, the you of today, and how we can work toward your goals). Within the first 4 sessions, we will both assess whether to continue—based on your comfortability in the relationship so far and your needs from treatment. Visit the About page to learn more about how I work.
What are your cancellation and communication policies?
You may cancel 3 sessions annually without charge. Rescheduling will likely happen around holidays, vacations, or unexpected emergencies.
I can be reached by phone or by e-mail. I will generally respond to you within 24 hours Monday through Friday. Messages on Friday afternoon will be responded to on Monday or the next workday. If you feel you are in crisis, please call:
